Chelsea Boot | standard fit
The Chelsea boot in its most considered form — elastic-sided, clean-lined, and built on a pointed last that carries itself equally well beneath a suit or a pair of dark denim.
The upper is cut from Italian box calf in a deep, even black. Box calf takes a high polish readily and holds it, developing a quiet patina over years of wear without losing its composure.
Construction follows the closed channel Goodyear welt method, where the welt stitching is recessed beneath a folded leather channel, protecting the thread from abrasion and keeping the sole line uninterrupted. The boot is entirely resolable, built to last decades rather than seasons. Each pair is made at Andrew McDonald's workshop in The Strand Arcade, Sydney, on last 1708.
